The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has accused the Federal Government of plotting to stop him from contesting the 2027 presidential election following a court order directing the deregistration of his party.
Obi made the allegation on Friday while speaking at Madonna University in Anambra State, shortly after the Federal High Court in Lokoja ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the NDC over a logo infringement case.
He alleged that the Federal Government was using every possible means to frustrate his presidential ambition but insisted that such efforts would not succeed.
Obi also urged his supporters to remain focused and not be discouraged by challenges, saying every struggle is part of the journey to success.
