Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dismissed claims linking the president to the leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the situation as self-inflicted.

Onanuga made this known in a statement posted on his X handle on Monday, titled “My response to Peter Obi’s media people.”

He criticised some political actors for attempting to blame the president for challenges within their parties, noting that such claims were unfounded.

According to him, it was wrong to make Tinubu a “whipping boy” for political problems created by individuals and groups.

The presidential aide maintained that the crisis within the ADC had no connection with the presidency, insisting that the party should take responsibility for resolving its internal issues.
