The Forum of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Federal Parastatals has pledged to mobilise 10 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The forum also appointed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, as its patron.
The resolutions were announced when a 20-member delegation of the forum paid a courtesy visit to Akume in Abuja.
According to a statement signed by the forum’s Publicity Committee Chairman, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, the Chairman of the forum and Director-General of the National Board of Technology Incubation, Dr Kazeem Raji, said the appointment recognised Akume’s leadership and experience in coordinating government institutions.
Raji said the forum would support Tinubu’s re-election through lawful, peaceful and issue-based engagement, while also communicating government policies and programmes to citizens.
Ajiboye said the CEOs, as implementers of government policies, would use their platforms to promote dialogue, explain government initiatives and provide channels for citizens to express their concerns and feedback.
Responding, Akume, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs, Mrs Augusta Warrens, appreciated the forum for the honour and pledged continued support for stronger inter-agency cooperation.
He also urged members to intensify efforts to communicate the achievements of the administration and counter what he described as disinformation.
