Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has explained that the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration influenced the decision of Northern Women Ulama from the 19 northern states to endorse him for a second term.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ engagement in Abuja on Sunday, Sani said the endorsement was not based on sentiments or personal interests, but on the impact of the administration’s policies and programmes.
He said the women particularly recognised the government’s efforts in education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and skills development.
According to the governor, programmes such as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) have significantly benefited people in the North.
Sani also praised Tinubu’s approach to governance, saying the President has promoted fairness, inclusiveness and development across different parts of the country.
He said the governors supporting the President would work with the women to take their message of support to communities across the 19 northern states.
The engagement was organised by the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari, and attended by several northern governors, ministers and other government officials.
