Veteran Nollywood Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died after a battle with cancer.

His daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death on Sunday evening during a live session on her Instagram page.

The actor’s death came just days after his daughter revealed that he was battling stage-four cancer.

Before his death, efforts were made to support his treatment. Reports indicated that Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Adeola Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi, provided financial assistance towards his medical treatment.

Ogogo was one of the well-known actors in the Yoruba movie industry and had enjoyed a career spanning several decades. He was loved by many for his memorable roles and contributions to Nollywood.
