The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello, has urged aspirants who lost in the party's recent primaries to accept their defeat in good faith and remain loyal to the party.
Bello made the appeal during a visit by members of the party's State Working Committee to the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, in Lafia.
He commended the speaker for accepting the outcome of the APC primary for the Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency without protest.
The chairman called on other aggrieved aspirants to emulate Jatau's example, stressing that peace, unity and loyalty are vital to the party's success ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bello also encouraged those who were unsuccessful in the primaries not to lose hope, noting that there would be other opportunities to serve through appointments or future elections.
Responding, Jatau said he had accepted the outcome of the primary as the will of God and had moved on. He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and pledged to continue mobilising support for the party's candidates to ensure victory in the 2027 general elections.
