Morocco secured a place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over Canada in their Round of 16 clash on Saturday in Houston.

After surviving Canada's bright start, the Atlas Lions took control in the second half as Selim Ounahi scored twice to put his side in command before Soufiane Rahimi added a stoppage-time goal to seal the win.

Canada controlled possession for long periods but failed to find a breakthrough against Morocco's disciplined defence, while goalkeeper Yassine Bounou remained largely untroubled.

The victory sends Morocco into the quarter-finals, where the Atlas Lions will face the winner of the Round of 16 tie between Paraguay and France next Thursday.
