Residents of Odofin Oke Community in Orile-Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, have commended the Councillor representing Owode Ward 3, Hon. Amb. Adekunle Ajayi Abdullateef, popularly known as "Lati Iyana", for donating a solar-powered borehole to the community and supporting the reconstruction of the Obafemi Owode Local Government Health Authority Centre.

The residents in their large numbers made the commendation on Thursday during the commissioning of the newly drilled borehole, which community leaders described as a major intervention aimed at addressing years of water scarcity in the area.

While speaking at the event, the Councilor, Hon. Ajayi explained that the project was initiated to provide residents with easier access to clean and safe water, noting that beneficiaries would include neighbouring communities.

He explained that the project marked the third water scheme he had facilitated within Obafemi Owode Local Government Area in the last two years, adding that he remained committed to implementing more developmental initiatives across the council area.
