The delegation was led by the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and visited the affected communities to sympathise with the families and reassure them of the Federal Government’s commitment to securing the release of the victims.

According to the President’s spokesperson, Sunday Dare, efforts are ongoing to rescue those abducted and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Members of the delegation included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; the Inspector General of Police, Tunde Disu; the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa; and the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe.

The visit comes about two weeks after the incident, as security agencies continue operations to secure the safe return of the victims.
