Mahmud Sadis Buba, an aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has withdrawn from the race.
Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, announced his decision in a statement released on Saturday via his official Facebook page.
He said the withdrawal followed consultations with his family, political associates, and party stakeholders, adding that it was influenced by ongoing reconciliation efforts within the party.
According to him, the decision was taken in the interest of unity within the APC ahead of the general election.
“This was not an easy decision, but it became necessary following reconciliation efforts initiated by party leaders and stakeholders,” he said.
Buba appreciated the leadership of the APC in Kaduna State, especially Governor Uba Sani, for the opportunity to participate in the nomination process.
He urged his supporters to remain calm and fully support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate, stressing that his withdrawal should be seen as a sacrifice for party unity.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and expressed commitment to working for the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.
