The Abiodun Akinlade Group (TAAG) has donated ₦20 million to support the 2027 governorship aspiration of Abiodun Akinlade, the lawmaker representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency.
The donation was made by TAAG coordinators from all 20 local government areas of Ogun State, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and demonstrate commitment to the lawmaker’s political ambition.
The cheque was presented by the group’s convener, Hon. Saka Olanrewaju, founder of Blue Roof, to the apex leaders of the group, Prince Morowufolu Kuye and Hon. Pst. Olufemi Babalola, during a gathering at NUT Hall, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The presentation coincided with the inauguration of the 20 local government coordinators, an initiative aimed at consolidating the group’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
Speaking at the event, organisers said the financial contribution reflects the confidence and trust members of the group have in Akinlade’s leadership capacity and political vision.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the newly appointed coordinators, members of the group, and other stakeholders, who gathered to reaffirm their commitment to TAAG’s objectives and support for the 2027 governorship race.
