NYO Ogun Women Inaugurate 20 LG Coordinators for APC Deputy Governorship Candidate

The Ogun State chapter of the Nigerian Youth Organisation (NYO) Women for APC-KAAB Movement has inaugurated coordinators across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate, Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun, popularly known as KAAB.

The inauguration of the KAAB Movement is part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure and increase women’s participation in mobilisation activities across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The inauguration was carried out by the APC Ogun State Woman Leader, Alhaja Aminat Adigun, in the presence of the party’s Local Government women leaders and other stakeholders.

The newly inaugurated coordinators are expected to coordinate the movement’s activities in their respective Local Government Areas and mobilise women at the grassroots.

The development comes shortly after the NYO Ogun Chapter’s “NYO 4 YAYI” solidarity walk, held in Abeokuta on September 8, 2026.

The 10,000-youth solidarity walk was organised in support of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, the APC governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.

The inauguration of the 20 Local Government coordinators further expands the movement’s grassroots mobilisation structure, with women taking a more active role in its activities across the state.

Speaking at the event, the APC State Woman Leader, Alhaja Aminat Adigun, urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to remain committed to their responsibilities and work closely with the party’s women leaders at the grassroots.

She also charged them to engage women in their respective Local Government Areas and contribute to the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The movement is expected to commence activities across the 20 Local Government Areas as it continues to engage women and strengthen its grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
